ATTRACTIONS AROUND US

WITOMINO district, where our house is situated, is surrounded by wood (The TriCity's Park) that is full of cycle lanes and footpaths. The neighbourhood of the wood gives our guests a great opportunity to relax in the open air, close to nature.
Almost on the verge of the wood, there are summer tennis courts. But if you happen to be a less active person, you can sit in one of Witomino's cafes or bars, eat a delicious and cheap meal or relax with a cup of aromatic coffee. It's only 200 m. from where we are.
The city-centre is one of the closest districts. Only a 5 minute drive through the Park and you will face a whole lot of different attractions there. The most prominent are the Baltic Sea, the clean beaches, the Seaside Promenade and the harbour. You can visit the Polish destroyer from The Second World War "Blyskawica" ("The Lightning") and the sailing-ship "Dar Pomorza" ("The Pomeranians Gift").
You will be strongly impressed by unforgettable views from the oceanic depth of the Maritime Museum and Aquarium. Scenes that you could otherwise admire only in the depths of the oceans offered by The Maritime Museum and Aquarium will leave you speechless.
And from the top of "Kamienna Gora" ("The Stone mount") you can admire panorama of the city and the harbour. You will be surely fascinated by an outdoor exhibition of weapon, even if you are not interested in the subject. You will easily find it in The Museum of Navy situated just by the seaside.
In summer Gdynia always prepares for its visitors and residents a special attraction on the beach: Summer Stage of The Municipal Theatre in Orlowo.
In Gdynia you will not miss various cosy places to have a tasty meal, like small restaurants from all over the world, bars and pubs, where you can enjoy yourself for example with sail men's songs played live.
Gdynia is also an ideal place to shop. The city-centre tempts with its shopping centre. The most attractive places for spending your money are Starowiejska and Swietojanska streets. There is a modern and exclusive shopping center named "Batory", at the intersection of 10 Lutego and Wladyslawa IV streets, where luxurious shops and state-of-the-art architecture intermingle.
Gdynia is the sunniest city in Poland and almost half of the city's area (45%) is green. The climate here is gentle and winds regular.
The city is young and continuously developing. It was established in 1926 as a Polish harbour. Efficient communication makes Gdynia very accessible within the city and abroad.
The TriCity Railway, regularly running lines Wejherowo - Gdynia - Sopot - Gdansk, will help you to visit also the other two interesting neighbouring cities of Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk. There you can have some fun in Aquapark or simply take a walk around The Old Town of Gdansk.
